Joined WCAU in 1950 as a sportscaster

Served as a play-by play announcer for both the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants.

Hosted CBS Sports Spectacular (1961-81)

Host of CBS’ The NFL Today (1971-74)

Joined ABC, serving as a reporter for both news and sports divisions (1982)

Covered 1984 Winter and Summer Olympics and the 1988 Winter Olympics

Reported sports for ABC's "World News Tonight", "ABC News Nightline” and "20/20".

Inducted into the American Sportscasters Hall of Fame (1997)

Inducted into Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Hall of Fame (2003)

Inducted into Saint Joseph's Athletics Hall of Fame (2005)
